Check the year that's ending and verify the values for the new year.

A. Changing the Board of Equalization Date
This is a new field in 2018.08. You'll need to enter the date. This field is for information only. You can add the Board of Equalization Date to your forms.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Property Tax Collection > Organization > Organization.
2. Enter the Board of Equalization Date.
3. Verify the Current Period displays the year to close.
For example, if you're closing property tax for 2018, the Current Period field should show 01/01/2018 - 12/31/2018.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
5. Click Close (CTRL+W).
The dates have been verified. You need to exit Organization before you run Close Period.

C. Adding due dates to taxing districts
Use Connect Property Tax Collection > Organization > Taxing Districts to review the due dates for each taxing district. Connect will set up a taxing period but you must manually assign a due date to the taxing period. The due dates must be set up before you calculate valuation notices.

What if I'm not sure when to assign due dates?
You can look at the due dates that were assigned to the previous year to determine when the due dates should be assigned in the current year.
