How many years do you want to keep jobs?

Use Delete Closed Jobs After [ _ ] Years to determine how long to keep closed jobs in the database. Users cannot delete transactions for closed jobs before the number of years has elapsed. At the appropriate time, run Organization > Delete Closed Jobs to remove closed jobs and related transactions from the database.

Note: Deleting history is part of regular upkeep and maintenance of the database. Choosing to keep history for an excessive period, or forever, may affect system performance.

Setting years do you want to keep jobs

1. Open Connect Project Accounting > Organization > Organization.

2. Find the field titled Delete Closed Jobs After x Years.

Do you want to keep transactions for closed jobs?

  • Yes, I want to keep transactions for closed jobs. Use the Delete Closed Jobs After [ _ ] Years field to enter a number. Example: To keep two years of history, type in 2.

  • No, allow users to delete transactions for closed jobs right away. Enter 0 (zero) in the Delete Closed Jobs After [ _ ] Years field. This option will use the year end date of the prior fiscal year as the default date in the Delete Closed Jobs routine.
