How do I delete closed jobs?
Organization
A closed job is a job that users cannot access to add, modify, or delete information. Use Delete Closed Jobs to clean up the database by removing jobs that have been permanently closed and are no longer needed by the organization.
When you run this routine, it will delete closed jobs

With a transaction date that occurs on or before the selected date.

When all related transactions occur on or before the selected date.

When all related transactions have been updated to the General Ledger, if the General Ledger interface is turned on.
Step 1: Back up the database
Before proceeding, back up the current files. Always make a back up of the database BEFORE running routines that modify or delete transactions. See the help topic titled How do I back up a database?
Step 2: Delete closed jobs
Clean up the database by removing jobs that have been permanently closed and are no longer needed by the organization.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Project Accounting > Organization > Delete Closed Jobs.
2. Is the date in the Delete Jobs Closed On or Before field correct?

Yes, the date is correct. Continue to the next step.

No, I want to use a different date. Use the Delete Jobs Closed On or Before field to enter a different date.
3. Now, review the closed jobs that are displayed in the Closed Jobs grid. Which closed jobs do you want to delete?

I want to delete a closed job. Click to select the corresponding checkbox in the Delete column.

I want to delete all closed jobs. Click Select All. This button is located on the toolbar.
4. Click GO (CTRL+G).
The closed jobs are deleted.

The Closed Jobs grid displays the jobs that have been selected using the current selection criteria.
How do I select the closed jobs to delete?
Click to select the corresponding checkbox that appears in the Delete column.
How do I select all closed jobs to delete?
Click Select All. It's the button that is located on the toolbar.
Delete jobs closed on or before
The default setting is saved in the Delete Closed Jobs After [ _ ] Years field in Organization > Organization.
Delete Jobs Closed On or Before = Current Date − Delete Closed Jobs After [ _ ] Years
Requirements:

Final close date must occur on or before the selected date.

The selected date must occur prior to the current date.
