How do I cancel a service order?
Delete a service order.
Use these instructions to cancel a service order. Canceling a service order will cancel all of the action codes assigned to the service order. You will have the option of canceling the service order and keeping the canceled service order history (recommended) or canceling the service order and permanently deleting it. To cancel an action code on a service order, see the help topic titled How do I modify a service order?

Before you get started
You'll need the service order number. You can retrieve the service order number using Service Order Inquiry.
Canceling a service order
Canceling a service order will cancel all of the action codes assigned to the service order.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Utility Management > Service Orders > Modify Service Orders.
2. Enter the Service Order Number.
What if I don't know the service order number? If you don't know the service order number, you can look up the customer or location in Service Order Inquiry. Service Order Inquiry will give you a list of service orders assigned to the location.
3. Press Enter.
The Delete/Abort window displays.
4. Click Cancel the Current Service Order.
A Cancel Comment window displays.
5. Enter a Cancel Comment (Optional).
6. Click OK.
The service order is canceled. When you look up a service order number, the service order status will show as canceled.

Undoing a canceled service order
Undo a canceled service order to change the service order status to active.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Utility Management > Service Orders.
2. Enter the Service Order Number of the canceled service order.
3. Press Enter.
The Canceled Service Order window displays.
4. Click Delete (CTRL+D).
The Canceled Action window displays.
5. Click Undo Cancelation and Delete Canceled Comment.

The status of the service order is changed to active. The status of the action codes that are assigned to the service order is changed to active.
