Tax Certification
The Certification Aging Report shows certification balances by customer, the year the amount was certified, and the amount the county expects to collect from the customer.
Note: The certified amount that prints on the report does not include the tax certification fee.
How do I track the certification balance?
You can use the Caselle Tax Certification module to track the certification balance.
When should I print this report?
You can print this report before, after, or both before and after you create tax certifications. Printing this report before you create tax certification will allow you to view the certification balances before you create additional certifications. Printing the report afterward allows you to view the customer's certification balance that include the newly certified amounts.
Who's responsible for collecting certified amounts?
It's the county's responsibility to collect certified amounts. When the customer pays the certified amount to the county, the county will record the amount paid and send to you a report of the payment amounts. When you receive the certification payment report from the county, you will enter certification payments or enter certification payment reversals.

Printing a Certification Aging Report
1. Open Connect Utility Management > Tax Certification > Certification Aging Report.
2. Select a Definition.
3. Select the Report Dates.
4. Set up the checkbox titled Include Customers with a Credit Balance.
Use this option to print the report for customers that have a certification balance that is greater than zero.
5. Set up the checkbox titled Include Customers with a Zero Balance.
Use this option to print the report for customers that have a certification balance of zero.
6. Set up the Selection Criteria, Report Order, and Report Sections (optional).

7. Click Print.
The report prints.

Adding certification information to the report
Add the following columns to the report to include additional certification information. You can add the columns to the Selection Criteria, Report Order, and Columns. The column header for the certification columns will include "Certified".
