Rates

The Default Rate warning displays when you remove the checkmark from the Allow New Billings checkbox on the default rate for a service. The default rate is the rate that is selected for a service as the rate that will be assigned to the service if a rate is not selected. The Default Rate warning displays if you change the service on the default rate and the default rate has related billing records tied to it.

When the rate does not allow new billings, you will need to assign a new default rate to the service that was using the old rate. This process will preserve the billing records that are tied to the old default rate and set up the service so it will use the new default rate to create new billing transactions.
