I'm using a quantity billed variable. Do I need to add a result variable to show the quantity billed?

I've set up a custom billing formula before and I know I need to add quantity billed variable and a result variable to show the quantity that was billed on the utility bill form. Do I still need to do that with the changes that were made to the quantity billed variable?

Explanation

In 2023.05 or earlier, the quantity billed variable was set up to work with the result variable. The quantity billed variable would identify the quantity that was billed and the result variable would show the value on the printed form.

Solution

If you want the usage that's calculated as the standard quantity billed for each period, you add the quantity billed variable to the form without also adding the result variable.

This update was made in the 2023.08 release. [MP4] You do not need to update form definitions that were created before the 2023.08 release was installed.
