How do I add a base amount to a rate?

A base amount is the initial amount that's billed by the rate. The base amount is in addition to to the billed usage.

Base Amount + Usage = Billed Amount

Example: City XYZ charges a base amount of $6 for sewer. The base amount may include waste treatment costs and/or a service charge for meter usage.

1. Open Connect Utility Management > Organization > Rates.

2. Use the Base Amount box to enter an amount.
