Error: Duplicated meter read route/sequence combination

Issue

A read route/sequence is being used on more than one customer with the same service or it is being used on more than one service. 

Explanation

Some electronic reading companies do not allow you to use the same read route/sequence for a service or use the same read route/sequence for more than one service. 

Solution

If the error report shows this error, it will list the route/sequence that is being used by more than one meter or on another meter for a different service. You will need to change the route/sequence for the meter at the service address to a new route/sequence combination.  

 

1. Open Connect Utility Management > Meters > Modify Existing Meters. 

2. Use the meter ID (from the error report) to look up the meter. 

3. Change the sequence to a new sequence to create a new read route/sequence. 

Do not use the same read route/sequence combination for a meter. Do not use a read route/sequence combination that has already been assigned to a meter, even if the meter is for a different service.
