How do I delete retired meters?
Remove a retired meter.
A retired meter is a meter that withdrawn from active use. Use Delete Retired Meters to delete meters that have been retired.
Requirements for deleting a retired meter:

Meter must be tied to one of the selected services.

Meter status is Retired.

Metered Retired date occurs on or before the date entered.

Meter is not tied to a service order.
Step 1: Back up the database
Before proceeding, back up the current files. Always make a back up of the database BEFORE running routines that modify or delete transactions. See the help topic titled How do I back up the database?
Step 2: Delete retired meters
Remove retired meters from the system.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Utility Management > Customers > Delete Retired Meters.
2. Select the Services.
Since readings are only recorded for metered services, the Service list displays the services that use a meter to record usage.

I want to delete retired meters for a service. Click to select a service name. The selected item is highlighted.

I want to delete retired meters for more than one service. Press and hold CTRL, now click to select each service.
3. Enter the Delete Meters Retired On or Before.
The Meter Retired Date records the MM/DD/YYYY when the meter was withdrawn from service. Use Delete Meters Retired On or Before to only delete retired meters if the retired date occurs on or before the date entered.
What is the last retired meter date to delete?
Use Delete Meters Retired On or Before to enter a MM/DD/YYYY.
4. Click GO (CTRL+G).
The retired meters have been deleted.
