How do I format a customer name?

The customer name is the name of the individual that is responsible for the account. When you enter a customer name, you can use the default format to parse the name into first name and last name. Or you can manually format the name so you can assign the first name, middle name, last name, and suffix.

Using the default format to enter a name

Enter the customer's name in the Name field. You can enter Smith, Joe or Joe Smith.

Manually formatting a name

Click the ellipsis [...] button at the end of the Name field.

The Name Details form displays the customer's name parsed into First, Middle, Last, and Suffix.

To edit a field, click on it and then type in the new name. When you're done, click OK.
