How do I reconnect service?

Turn on service on a temporary disconnect.

Use Reconnect Services if the customer account is still active and service was disconnected. A disconnected billing service is a service that has been terminated. A permanently disconnected billing service occurs when the customer shuts off service and has not intention of reconnecting service later. On the other hand, the status is labeled a temporary disconnected billing service when a customer does intend to reconnect service at a future date.

Reconnecting service

1. Open Connect Utility Management > Customers > Reconnect Services.

2. Enter a Customer.

This is the customer number or name with the disconnected service.

3. Enter a Reconnect Date.

This is the date when service resumes.

4. Select the Disconnected Billing Service.

All of the disconnected services for the current customer will be displayed in the Disconnect Billing Services field.

Which services do you want to reconnect?  

  • I want to select a service. Press and hold CTRL, and then select a service to reconnect. The selected services are highlighted.

  • I want to select all of the services. Press and hold Shift, and then click the first and last service in the list. All of the services are highlighted.

5. Press Enter again.

The service is reconnected.
