What is a taxing district?
A tax district is an area that designates a geographical site for tax purposes. For example, a tax district may include a small town and the surrounding area, a township, a parish, and so on. All of the individuals that live inside the tax district can be taxed at the specified rate.
A taxing districts groups together the taxing entities that will apply a tax on the taxing district. You need to set up taxing districts before you can add real property or personal property.
