How do I set up requesting accounts?

Add, edit, or delete a requesting account.

A requesting account is created for the title company, or entity, that will pay to regularly record the documents. The requesting account tracks the account balance, credits for deposits entered into the account, and debits for document recording fees.

Add a requesting account

Create a new record for a requesting account.

Do this...

1. Open Connect Property Tax Collection > Organization > Requesting Accounts.

2. Click New (CTRL+N).

3. Use the Requesting Account tab to fill in the requesting account's contact information.

4. What do you want to do?

  • I want to see transactions for this requesting account. Use the Transactions tab to view all of the transactions that have been created for the current requesting account. Remember, you can click the column headings to filter the information.

  • I want to add a transaction. On the Transactions tab, click Enter Requesting Account Amounts. Use the Enter Requesting Account Amounts form to enter the type and amount. Click Save (CTRL+S). Then, click Close to return to Organization > Requesting Accounts.

  • I want to remove a transaction. Use the Transactions tab to select a transaction to remove. Then, click Delete.  

5. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The requesting account is saved.

 

Change a requesting account

Edit the properties assigned to a requesting account.

Do this...

1. Open Connect Property Tax Collection > Organization > Requesting Accounts.

2. Enter a tax code in the Lookup bar. Press Enter.

3. Now, you can change the requesting accounts record.

4. Click Save (CTRL+S).

The requesting account is updated.

 

Delete a requesting account

You cannot delete a requesting account when related transactions exist.

Do this...

1. Open Connect Property Tax Collection > Organization > Requesting Accounts.

2. Enter a tax code in the Lookup bar. Press Enter.

3. Click Delete (CTRL+D).

Note: Tax codes with related transactions cannot be deleted.

 

Options

Requesting account contact information

This is the name, address, telephone, and email for the requesting account.

Transactions

You can use the Transaction tab to review the transaction history for the requesting account.
