Step 1. Set up calculation tables for IRS tax levy

IRS Tax Levy 

Add a calculation table for the IRS tax levy for 

  • Head of Household

  • Married Filing Jointly

  • Married Filing Separately

  • Single

 

These instructions are for 2023. You may need to update the instructions if you are setting up the IRS tax levy for a different year. 

 

Head of Household calculation table

1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Calculation Tables. 

2. Click New  (CTRL+N). 

3. In the Calculation Table Name box, enter IRS Tax Levy - Head of Household.

4. Click to select the Modifiers tab. 

 

Calculation Tables, Modifiers tab

Modifier 1

  • Description: Enter Annual Exemption Amount

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 20800.00 

Modifier 2

  • Description: Enter Annual Amount per Exemption

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 4700.00

Modifier 3

  • Description: Enter Additional Annual Exemption

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 1850.00

 

5. Click Save (CTRL+S). 

 

Married Filing Jointly calculation table

1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Calculation Tables. 

2. Click New (CTRL+N). 

3. In the Calculation Table Name box, enter IRS Tax Levy - Married Filing Jointly.

4. Click to select the Modifiers tab.

Modifier 1

  • Description: Enter Annual Exemption Amount

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 27700.00

Modifier 2

  • Description: Enter Annual Amount per Exemption

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 4700.00

Modifier 3

  • Description: Enter Additional Annual Exemption

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 1500.00

 

5. Click Save (CTRL+S). 

 

Married Filing Separately calculation table

1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Calculation Tables. 

2. Click New  (CTRL+N). 

3. In the Calculation Table Name box, enter IRS Tax Levy - Married Filing Separately.

4. Click to select the Modifiers tab.

Modifier 1

  • Description: Enter Annual Exemption Amount

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 13850.00

Modifier 2

  • Description: Enter Annual Amount per Exemption

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 4700.00

Modifier 3

  • Description: Enter Additional Annual Exemption

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 1500.00

 

5. Click Save (CTRL+S). 

 

Single calculation table

1. Open Connect Payroll > Organization > Calculation Tables. 

2. Click New  (CTRL+N). 

3. In the Calculation Table Name box, enter IRS Tax Levy - Single.

4. Click to select the Modifiers tab.

Modifier 1

  • Description: Enter Annual Exemption Amount

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 13850.00

Modifier 2

  • Description: Enter Annual Amount per Exemption

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 4700.00

Modifier 3

  • Description: Enter Additional Annual Exemption

  • Type: Select Amount. 

  • Value: Enter 1850.00

 

5. Click Save (CTRL+S).
