How do I cancel reservations?
Release the inventory that has been reserved for general use.
Inventory that is reserved places a hold on an inventory item. Canceling a reservation removes the hold and makes the inventory item available for others.

Canceling reserved inventory
1. Open Connect Materials Management > Inventory > Cancel Reservation.
2. Enter the date the cancelation will be created in the Input Date field.
The Input Date groups entries together. This allows you to report entries by input date later.
3. Enter the Cancel Date.
This is the date the routine will use to create the transaction to cancel the reservation.
Do you want to use the current date as the cancel date?

Yes, I want to use the current date. Continue to the next step.

No, I want to use a different date. Click on the Cancel Date field and type in a date. The date format is MM/DD/YYYY.
4. Enter the Canceled By.
Select the name of the person who is responsible for canceling the reservation from the Canceled By field. If the name is not included in the list, click on the field and type it in.
All of the outstanding reservations will display in the grid.
5. Does the reservation that you need to cancel show up in the grid?

Yes, I can see the reservation. Continue to the next step.

No, the reservation that I need to cancel is missing. You may need to change the Selection Criteria to find the reservation. After you change the Selection Criteria make sure to click the Refresh Data (CTRL+R) button to update the results in the grid.
6. Do you want to cancel the entire reservation?

Yes, I want to cancel the entire reservation. Set the Cancel drop-down list to Yes. Tip: You can use the Set All to Yes button, located on the toolbar, to set the Cancel setting for all of the reservations in the grid to Yes.

No, I want to cancel a portion of the reservation. Set the Cancel drop-down list to Partial. Now, enter the quantity to cancel.

No, I do not want to cancel the reservation. Set the Cancel drop-down list to No. Tip: You can use the Set All to No button, located on the toolbar, to set the Cancel setting for all of the reservations in the grid to No.
7. Click GO (CTRL+G).
The reserved inventory is canceled.
Undo a canceled reservation
There is no undo for a canceled reservation. You'll need to use Reserve Inventory to re-enter the reservation.
Review a list of canceled inventory
You can print the Reserved Inventory Report to see if the canceled inventory is available for general use.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Materials Management > Reports > Reserved Inventory Report.
2. Select the report title.
3. Select the Print Location Detail checkbox.
4. Click Print (CTRL+P).
Save my settings
You can save the Cancel Reservation settings as the default setting for yourself or you can make the default setting available to all of the users in the organization. Click the Save (CTRL+S) button to get started.
When do I use Refresh Settings vs. Refresh Data?
Use Refresh Settings to restore the values on the screen to the last time the screen was saved.
Use Refresh Data to use the new values that have been selected in the Selection Criteria to update records that show up in the grid.
