Error: Beginning balance is not equal to the prior ending balance

Issue

If the bank beginning balance for the current month does not equal the prior ending balance, the error is reported as Beginning balance is not equal to the prior ending balance.

Note: These instructions do not apply to closed periods.

Solution

To fix this error, recalculate the bank reconciliation for the reported period and bank. (Reconcile Bank Accounts)
