Error: Invalid account segments

Issue

A segment value for an account falls outside of the segment range. 

Explanation

When an account segment is set up, the account segment range is defined by selecting the first segment number and last segment number. If the segment value is greater than or less than the account segment range, then the account segment is not valid. 

Solution

To fix this issue, 

  • run Recalculate and select the Replace Account Segments checkbox. This option will replace the invalid account segments with a valid account segment. This option may require several minutes to find and replace the invalid account segment in the chart of accounts.
