How do I set up notifications for journal approval?
Journal Approval
Send text messages or email notifications to approvers who are assigned to review transactions for a journal. Approvers will receive notifications from the moment the journal entry is assigned to them. The notifications will alert the approver when the journal entry is ready for review, when a journal entry has been approved or denied, and when a journal entry has been returned to the submitter for rework.
Notification Types
When a journal entry is assigned to you for review and your set up to receive approval journal notifications, you may receive the following notifications. The notifications will help you know where is the journal entry in the approval process.
"Journal entry ready for review"
A journal entry has been submitted and it's ready for your review.
"Journal entry reviewed"
A journal entry that you have been assigned to review has been reviewed by another approver.
"Journal entry approved"
A journal entry that you have been assigned to review has been approved by another approver.
"Journal entry denied"
A journal entry that you have been assigned to review has been denied by another approver.
"Journal entry returned"
A journal entry that you have been assigned to review has been returned to the submitter by another approver.

Setting up a user to receive notifications
To set up a user to receive journal approval notifications, the user must be set up to receive notifications AND the user must be an approver.
Setting up a user to receive notifications
Update the user's default settings in the User table (General Ledger > Organization > Users). You need to add the user's email address, mobile number, and mobile provider. If the user has a user record in System Management, click the link titled Edit This User in System Management.
