How do I add/remove an agency?
The agency is an organization that is involved in completing a role or task for a case. For example, the police department that issued the citation or the motor vehicle department that tracks vehicle violations. Use Agencies to record the agency's properties, including the percentage of the billed amount to return to the agency.
Add an agency
Create a record for a new agency.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Court Management > Organization > Agencies.
2. Click New (CTRL+N).
3. Fill in the agency properties.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The agency is saved.
Change an agency
Update the properties on an agency.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Court Management > Organization > Agencies.
2. Use the Lookup bar to enter the agency name. Press Enter.
3. Now, update the agency properties.
4. Click Save (CTRL+S).
The updated agency is saved.
Delete an agency
Remove an agency. You cannot delete an agency if related transactions exist.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Court Management > Organization > Agencies.
2. Use the Lookup bar to enter the agency name. Press Enter.
3. Click Delete (CTRL+D).
The agency is deleted.

Agency
The agency is a unique name or code that is assigned to the agency, like an acronym or initials. For example, UDOT for Utah Department of Transportation or UHP for Utah Highway Patrol.
Agency ID
The agency ID is the identification number that is assigned to the agency.
What is the agency ID?
Use the Agency ID field to enter an agency's identification number. You can include separators such as a dash (-) or parenthesis [( )].
Default plaintiff
The default plaintiff is the person or organization that will usually initiate the case.
What do you want to do?
I want to use an existing plaintiff. Use the Default Plaintiff drop-down list to select a plaintiff name.
I need to add a new plaintiff. Use the Default Plaintiff menu to select Add New.
Show me more information about the plaintiff. Use the Default Plaintiff field to enter a plaintiff name. Then, use the Default Plaintiff menu to select Additional Information.
Help me find a plaintiff. Use the Default Plaintiff menu to select Search.

Percentage
Use the Percentage field to calculate a portion of an amount to return to the plaintiff. For example, when the police department is listed as the plaintiff, City XYZ returns twenty percent of the fined amount to the police department.
Do you want to return a percentage to the plaintiff?
Yes, return a percentage to the plaintiff. Use the Percentage field to enter a percent. Example: Jane enters 20 to return 20%.
No, do not return a percentage to the plaintiff. Enter zero (0) as the Percentage.
Title
The title is a unique description assigned to the plaintiff. For example, if the agency is named UHP then the agency title would be Utah Highway Patrol; in other words, the full, formal name of the agency.
