How do I enter warrant dispositions?
A warrant is a court order that directs a law enforcement officer to arrest and bring a person before the judge. After a warrant is recorded, use Enter Warrant Dispositions to record the method of discarding the warrant.
Enter a warrant disposition
Record the method of discarding the warrant.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Court Management > Cases > Enter Warrant Dispositions.
2. Use the Lookup field to enter a case number. Press Enter.
3. Use the transaction grid on the Warrants tab > Dispositions subtab to select a warrant to dispose.
4. Fill in the fields on the Dispositions tab.
5. Click the Save
button.
The warrant disposition is recorded.
Change a warrant disposition
Update the information on a warrant disposition.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Court Management > Cases > Enter Warrant Dispositions.
2. Use the Lookup field to enter a case number. Press Enter.
3. Select the warrant number to dispose from the Warrants transaction grid.
4. Click the menu button, it's located next to the Warrant Number in the transaction grid. Then, select Modify Warrants.
5. Use the options on the Dispositions tab to edit the warrant disposition properties.
The warrant disposition is updated.
Delete a warrant disposition
Warning! This will delete the warrant AND the disposition. If you wish to delete the disposition without deleting the warrant, use Change Properties on an Existing Disposition to clear the disposition fields.
Do this...
1. Open Connect Court Management > Cases > Enter Warrant Dispositions.
2. Use the Lookup field to enter a case number. Press Enter.
3. Select the warrant number to dispose from the Warrants transaction grid.
4. Click the menu button, it's located next to the Warrant Number in the transaction grid. Then, select Delete Warrants.
The warrant disposition is deleted.

Use the warrant defaults to select the default value for the following fields:

How do I change the default status?
1. Click Options (F12).
2. Click the Warrants tab.
3. Use the Default Case Warrant Status to select the default case status.
Options
Case warrant status
The status is the state or condition of the warrant. This is a status list defined by the application. To define a new warrant status, use Organization > Statuses.
Served
The warrant was served to the defendant.
Canceled
The warrant was canceled.
Recalled
The warrant was recalled.
Other
When the warrant status is not served, canceled, or recalled, select Other.
Disposition
A disposition is the final settlement, the outcome or final judgment, of a warrant. Use the Disposition field to select the method for disposing the warrant.
Disposition date
The Input Date is the date the system will use to record the transaction.
