Open Deposit Report

An open deposit report lists all active or unspent deposits tied to permits and projects. It helps staff monitor which deposits are still on file, not fully used, or potentially eligible for refund.

Why it's important?

  • Track outstanding funds. See what money is still held by the agency for ongoing work.

  • Support refund decisions. Identify deposits that may be eligible for a partial or full refund.

  • Prevent overuse or oversight. Ensures funds aren't accidentally overdrawn or forgotten.

  • Assist with reconciliation. Helps match deposits with actual costs incurred.

  • Provide transparency. Useful for internal audits and communication with developers or applicants.
