How do I change a permit approval status?

If you're an approver or you're assigned to an approval group, you can use the Approve Permit view to review permits that have been submitted for review.

When you review a permit, you can change the approval status to

Active. The permit is working through an approval process.
Approved. Move the permit to the next step in the approval process.
Canceled. Cancel the approval process for the permit.
Denied. Hold the permit at the current step in the approval process and change the approval status on all related approvals to pending.
Returned to applicant. The permit needs more information. Return the permit to the permit applicant and choose which step in the approval process to restart the approval process. This option allows you as the approver to undo previous approvals.

Any user who is set up as an approver or who is included in an approval group can make changes to the permit approval status.

The canceled and denied approval status are included in the 2022.05 release. To use the new approval statuses, download and install the 2022.05 release.
