How do I delete estimates?

Remove estimates that are not connected to a permit.

An estimate is a tentative judgment of the approximate value. When you use Community Development to estimate a permit, the application saves the estimate and all of the information that you used to create the estimate in a file. You can clean up the database by deleting estimates that are not connected to a permit.

Before you get started

Deleting estimates

1. Open Connect Community Development > Organization > Delete Estimates.

2. Enter the Delete Estimates Prior To.

This date calculates based on the setting in the Organization table. However, you can enter a different date. To change way the date calculates, edit the number stored in the Keep x Months of Estimates field in Organization > Organization.

Is the Delete Estimates Prior To correct?

  • Yes, the date is correct. Continue to the next step.

  • No, the date is NOT correct. Click on the Delete Estimates Prior To field and enter a different date. Remember, the routine will delete all of the estimates with a transaction date that occurs on or before the Delete Estimates Prior To field.

 3. Click GO (CTRL+G).

The estimates are deleted.
