How do I grant access to users who do not have a Connect user ID?

Connect Online

Set up Community Development to allow users who do not have a Connect user ID or who only have access to use Connect Online to view information that's stored in the Community Development application.

Users with read-only rights

  • can view information,

  • cannot work on an item, and

  • can assign an item to another user.

For example, City ABC has a clerk who sets up inspection appointments and assigns the inspections to users to work on them. City ABC sets up a user with read-only rights for Connect Online. Now the clerk can use Connect Online to set up inspection appointments and make assignments.

This option is available in the 2022.08 release.
