Search for businesses that have more than one license and one of those licenses has a rate with a credit balance. Connect will look for a license with a rate a negative balance. A business with a license with a credit balance may cause an issue with calculating the subject to penalty amounts. Reallocating the credit balance will resolve this issue.

Checking for credit balances

1. Open Connect Business License > Businesses > Checkout.

2. Click to select Business Information.

3. Click to select the Check for credit balances to reallocate checkbox.

4. Click GO (CTRL+G).

If it finds any business with more than one license and one of the licenses has a rate with a credit balance, the business will print on the error report. The error report will print the business with the rate with a credit balance. You can find it under the section titled Check for Credit Balances to Reallocate.

Solution

To fix this error, reallocate the negative balance to the licenses owned by the business with a positive balance. (Businesses > Reallocate Credit Balances)

Reallocating credit balances will look at a business for rates with a credit balance (a negative amount). If it finds any rates with a credit balance, it will enter a payment adjustment to remove the credit balance and then it will apply the credit balance to the remaining balance on the selected rates.
