The intelligent mail barcode is a 65-bar Postal Service barcode for sorting and tracking letters.

Note: The form layout must use the Intelligent Mail Barcode variable.

Setting up the intelligent mail barcode on a form

1. On the Form Options tab, find the section titled Intelligent Mail Barcode.

2. Enter the information that will be printed in the barcode.

• Enter the barcode ID (0-4). This is the two-digit value for the OEL (Optional Endorsement Line). To omit OEL information, enter 00. Required.

• Enter the service type ID. This is a three-digit number for the amil class. Include leading zeros. Required.

• Enter the mailer ID (up to 9 digits). The mailer ID is 6 or 9 digits. Required.
