What are grids?

Connect uses grids throughout the application to display lists, fields, transactions, detail, and so on.

When you see a mouse pointer that looks like this...

...it means there are additional tools you can use to work with the displayed data. Right-click to display the grid menu.

Then, select the option that you wish to use. The options in the grid menu will display based on the routine.

 

Sorting data

Click a column header to sort the column. Click the column header again to reverse the sorting order.

Dragging and dropping columns

Change the column display order by clicking on a column header and dragging it to the desired location.

Expanding and collapsing sections

Click (+) to expand a section. Click (-) to collapse a section.

Resizing a column

Move the mouse pointer between two columns on the grid. The mouse pointer changes to . Click and drag the double arrow mouse to make the column width bigger or smaller.

Selecting fields

Add or remove fields from the grid. This option is usually available on tabs displaying transaction detail or additional information.
