How do I update property coordinates?

Master Properties

Use geomapping software to assign latitude and longitude to a property address. Running the routine will only assign latitude and longitude when the Latitude and Longitude fields do not have a value saved in them. If the Latitude and Longitude fields are filled in, you'll need to update the property record by hand to edit the coordinates.

Before you get started

Purchase and install the Geocoding/Online Mapping app. For more information, call Caselle at (800) 243-8275.
Back up the database. See the help topic titled How do I back up a database?

Updating property coordinates

1. Open Connect System Management > Master Records > Update Property Coordinates.

2. Click GO (CTRL+G).

Connect searches for property records in the Master Property table that do not have a latitude and longitude and saves the coordinates for the property address in Latitude and Longitude fields.
