How do I define a variable?

Select the variable type and display options. These options include the variable’s field name, location on the form, font and font size, and display format.

1. Right-click a variable and select Settings.

2. Define the variable properties.
Value: Click the
button, at the end of the Value field, to select a different variable.
Special: Some variables have custom properties. Setup this area if options are available.
Position: This is the exact location of the variable will appear on the form.
Font: Use the options in the Font area to set the font type, style, size, justification, and case. An example of the selected options will be displayed in the Sample area.
Format: If the variable type is a date or number, then enter the field format in the Format field. Example: MM/DD/ YYYY or $##,###.00
Watermark: If the variable displays a graphic, then selecting this check box will add the graphic as a watermark that appears behind the text on the form.
User-defined: If the variable type is a user-defined field, then set up this area.
3. Click Accept to apply the changes and return to the main screen.
The variable is defined.
