How do I draw a text box?

Add a text box to a form to include text.

1. Click Text .

2. Click on the white space and drag the text box to the appropriate size.

Click on the workspace. See how the mouse pointer changes to a cross-hair when a tool is selected. Position the cross-hair on the workspace. Click and drag the mouse to create a text box. Click on the workspace when the text box is about the right size to finish the text box.

 

3. Set up the options on the Text toolbar.

Notice that the text displayed on the screen is colored red. When you select an object such as a text box, variable, line, or graphic, it will turn red to indicate the object is selected.

Use the Text toolbar to select Arial as the font and 10 as the size. Click Close on the Text toolbar to continue. The frame around the text box disappears and the text color changes to black.

Find Save in the toolbar and click it. Click the Save Current Form option and click the Save button. Saving new changes to the form layout is very important.

 

Resizing a text box

When you select an object such as a text box, variable, line, or graphic, it will turn red to indicate the object is selected. Slowly move the mouse over the text box border. The mouse changes from a cross-hair (+) to a double arrow. Click and drag the double arrow mouse to make the text box bigger or smaller.

Use the Text toolbar to select Arial as the font and 10 as the size. Click Close on the Text toolbar to continue.

 

Moving a text box

To move a text box that appears on the workspace, click it to select it. Now, click and drag the text box to the upper-left corner of the workspace. Click on the workspace when the text box is positioned correctly to release the text box.
