If you need to create a form layout that shares similar attributes with an existing form, it may be faster to open the existing form and save it as a new form than starting from scratch.
How do I use a form in a batch report?
If you want to use a form in a batch report, create the form, add it as the default form layout on a report, and then add the report that uses the form layout to the batch report.
