Nibley had a beloved 5th-grade teacher who was killed in Iraq while serving in the Army. We would like to honor his memory with a memorial in front of Nibley Elementary School. Mr. Alleman not only taught patriotism, freedom and heroism, but he exemplified those principles with his actions, culminating in him sacrificing his life for those principles. Here is a link to the original article published in our local newspaper after his death.
This February will mark the ten-year anniversary of Mr. Alleman’s death in Iraq. We feel that a memorial in his honor would be a fitting tribute and reminder for our community of his service and sacrifice. It would also serve to inform current students, most of whom were born after his death, of his legacy and character.
