Since 2017, the Payson City library and the local Lions Club has been trying to earn 1 Million pennies ($10,000) to provide an inviting area for teens at Payson City Library. The library currently has nothing set aside to facilitate teens, and this would provide that opening in activities and a physical place in the city for them to work with computers, read books, learn, and have fun! The Library has designated a certain room in the library, which is currently used as a computer room, the teenage area. They would like to have computers there for teenage patrons to do research and work on their homework. They will also bring in some games and furniture to make a welcoming environment for teens.
